40 - 1/48 Italeri F16 Fighting Falcon
This build started out as the grey Italian Scheme until a friend donated the 100 hours Decals to me, so it had to become that.
It was a challenge to do the black paint in a way that made it look interesting because it still had to be clean so no dirt to bring out the panels. I tried out using different clear coats and varying it with matt, satin and gloss to bring out some detail.
I like showing display bids in flight and found a way that I'd like to do mine using a wooden block and clear styrene rods.
If you'd like to follow the build you can see it here - https://imodeler.com/groups/italian-air-force-100th/forum/topic/italeri-1-48-f-16-fighting-falcon-in-the-ami-1000-hours-scheme/
I hope you enjoy.
A very unusual scheme, nicely done.
Thanks a lot Robert, yeah was very happy when the decals were donated to me.
That is one colorful scheme! Looks great.
Thanks Greg @gkittinger - yeah I like the display birds. They are fun.
Great looking F-16, Anthony - and your Mini Maj. Maurizio 'Masa' De Angelis looks pretty good!
I see the Italian insignia also got it's own lightning modification.
Hi George @gerogeswork, thanks so much, yeah the decals and design in this are really nice and interesting.
Very nice!
Thanks John
The Green Hornet...I mean Falcon. Very nice Anthony! Looks like a fun build and scheme...well done.
Haha - green Hornet indeed - thanks so much Gary @gwskat - it was a fun one.
I love the paint scheme, Anthony (@anthonyricco). Who would have thought that black and green would look so good? Well done.
Thanks George @gblair - thankfully someone in Italy went with the colour combo - works great.
Really sharp looking F-16
thanks a lot George @blackadder57 - much appreciated
A beautiful result of this special livery, Anthony @anthonyricco
You did really well in making it look like it is performing a demonstration.
Love this base.
Thanks so much John @johnb - yeah I like showing these in flight so you can see all sides.
Brilliant version of the F-16, your model really shows off the livery very well.
Thanks so much George @chinesegeorge - yeah the livery was nice and different
Fantastic build, Anthony!
Thanks Spiros @fiveten
@anthonyricco - Another fantastic build Anthony. I really like the display stand. I've seen the clear rod idea somewhere, but the natural wood block is a very nice touch. The black and green is really cool, very unique.
Thanks Brian @brithebuilder. Glad you like the display stand, yeah really wanted to make it in flight in a nice and new way.
Great scheme, Anthony! I followed your build of this model and that kit looks like it built very well.
Thanks a lot John @j-healy, much appreciated. Yeah the kit was pretty good, think just a bit of sanding needed on the nose cone. Was a nice kit.
