40 - 1/48 Italeri F16 Fighting Falcon

This build started out as the grey Italian Scheme until a friend donated the 100 hours Decals to me, so it had to become that.

It was a challenge to do the black paint in a way that made it look interesting because it still had to be clean so no dirt to bring out the panels. I tried out using different clear coats and varying it with matt, satin and gloss to bring out some detail.

I like showing display bids in flight and found a way that I'd like to do mine using a wooden block and clear styrene rods.

If you'd like to follow the build you can see it here - https://imodeler.com/groups/italian-air-force-100th/forum/topic/italeri-1-48-f-16-fighting-falcon-in-the-ami-1000-hours-scheme/

I hope you enjoy.

  10. @anthonyricco - Another fantastic build Anthony. I really like the display stand. I've seen the clear rod idea somewhere, but the natural wood block is a very nice touch. The black and green is really cool, very unique.
