Fokker D.VII's
Hi All,
Finally finished five Fokkers!
Though a rewarding project, at times it was tedious (fiddly kit parts, keeping each build parts separated, lozenge decals) and monotonous (over and over steps X 5). I am pleased with the outcome but I was ready for these builds to be completed (a bit rushed at the end). Lesson learned...two or three like kits, max, at the same time. Famous last words ? Only time will tell.
A shout out/thank you to the fine folks at Eduard for sending me some replacement parts!
Thanks for looking...As always KEEP IT FUN!

I'm going to chime in here and echo what has been said above. The D 7 is my favorite aircraft from this era. I guess it stems from my very first biplane build being the same type. I built the ancient Aurora 1/48 (ish) Fokker model as my first biplane when I was a kid. I still remember the green plastic... and how the art work on the box was showing a pilot flying in his plane that was on fire, and the horrible expressions on his face. I believe it was still being shot at by a chap flying in a yellow Sopwith Camel.
I have picked up a set of Aviatik decals to build up one of my WNW kits into the "Seven Swabians" like you have done.
I have even been thinking about doing another group build, in similar fashion to our recent Korean War one was done. It would start on the very first day of the war, only 110 years later... and end on the last. It would end on November 11th, 2028 ... at precisely 11 AM.
I am very impressed with these. They look magnificent !
Oh yeah... I'm definitely clicking on several of the various "like" buttons for sure... 🙂
Thanks for sharing these with us.
Thanks, Louis.
WW1 German a/c have some amazing schemes (Hmmm, where have I heard that before...LOL)
These are just great. Building one bi-plane is a test, five is truly a feat. Superb all the way around and a great collection.
