The MC-55A Peregrine will replace the now retired AP-3C() aircraft in Royal Australian Air Force service. It has been developed as an /EW (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance /Electronic Warfare) platform using the Gulfstream G-550 as the airframe.

The base kit is the SovaM Israeli Shavit. To make the Peregrine required the following modifications:

Add the rear radar bulge from milliput and dome antenna at rear from tube and plastic card.
Add the two 'ducts' running along the radar bulge from strip plastic.
Add generator bulges below each engine nacelle from strip plastic.

The majority of the antennas are supplied in the kit but the 'bat wing' antennas and a few others to make up the numbers were scratch built. I also added the forward and rear radar warning sensors not included in the kit. The number of antennas and sensors number 65. The size, location, colours and shapes were determined from images of the aircraft on their test flights. The kit supplies a lot of the required antennas and most of them share similar locations as stated in the instructions of the Israeli Shavit.

Decals were custom and supplied by Hawkeye Models. The colour is Ghost Grey, I started with Dark Ghost Grey but thought it was too dark and switched to Light Ghost Grey. After applying the decals I now think I should have stuck with the darker shade.
