Trumpeter 1/32 Swordfish Mk. I

February 19, 2024 · in Aviation · · 28 · 319

's is a great kit. Not only that it is an enlargement of 's magnificent 1/48th kit, but also that it is impressive thanks to its large size.

The texture surface of the biplane is largely canvas. The texture surface of the model is exaggerated but can easily be modified using a sandpaper. Photoetched bracing wires are supplied. However, they are slightly over scaled. The insignia decals are brightly colored and require toning down. Like in the Tamiya kit, I cut the slats and repositioned them using thin plastic card sheets.

  1. Nice work (as usual) Rafi. Every time Trumpeter decides to "steal from the best and make it your own," like this or the scaled-up Accurate Miniatures SBDs, they have a winner.

  2. What Tom said, Rafi!
    Congratulations!
