  2. The Sinking of HMS HOOD - Epoxy Resin Diorama

About a year ago I saw on FB an amazing created by the famous diorama master @won-huilee showing the sinking of the HMS and I was mesmerized by it. This diorama stuck in my mind ever since and I always wanted to try it. I recently finished it and I am posting some pictures. This was a very difficult diorama with lots of work that challenged my abilities and pushed me to think out of the box. if you are interested you can watch the full making tutorial at my YouTube Channel: 4thecraft

  1. Amazing work. You nailed it. That orange is an led light?

  2. That is incredible! I'll check out the video for sure. Next level work for sure. Thanks for sharing.

  3. amazing! You definitely caught the action - explosion, water streaming off the hull. Well done!

  4. Simply outstanding! Beautiful work.

  5. Very impressive, Michael @4thecraft
The effects below the surface do look very realistic.
    Definitely a winner.

  6. GORGEOUS! Fantastic work! Michael @4thecraft

  7. Excellent job, Michael!

  8. That is so cool! Love those resin underwater dios!

  9. Spectacular is the word that comes to mind. I appropriated it from my brother-in-law who uses it when the situation fits. It certainly fits for your execution of this diorama. The seemingly serene slipping away at the surface belies the violent death throes just underneath, but is tragically revealed very convincingly.

  10. Very nice but also sobering if you think about the magnitude of the event. As a kid I read Ludovic Kennedy's 'Pursuit' about the sinking of the Bismarck (and Hood). You can smell the oil and the cordite but also the fear and the cold embrace of death. What a book!

  11. That's some great work with a spectacular result - very realistic.

  12. Another very impressive diorama, the water seems to be very clear.
