USS Sturgeon by Mikro Mir
Here's my second 1/350 scale sub from Mikro Mir. This time it's USS Sturgeon. I attempted to model it as it looked (according to the instructions) on launching. However, the decal for the bunting, as nice as it looked, turned out to be too fragile to conform to the bow. I still like the clean look with the various black/gray shades and red.
I'm nearly done with my third one and I can say I am definitely a fan of these modern sub kits from Mikro Mir.
Also, I couldn't decide if I liked the blue or black background more, so I'll let you all decide.

Both, gray and blue background, do give it a special look. Personally I prefer the gray background.
Nice job! Though I normally like black/neutral backgrounds for my builds, the "black" of the hull looks blacker with the blue background. With the black background, the black seems to wash out to more of a silver/gray tone. Just my opinion...do what works for you.
