Trumpeter 1/32 Swordfish Mk. I

June 10, 2024 · in Aviation · · 20 · 245

With the wings swept back in the parking position, 's becomes a challenging kit to build. The wings exert a tremendous pressure on the hinges, tail unit and wheels. The result though is well worth the effort.

  1. Great result on a complicated project, Rafi. Looks like Trumpeter got this one right.

    • Thank you John.
Trumpeter's Swordfish is an enlargement of Tamiya's 1/48th kit. Fortunately, much of the surface texture is fabric resulting with an excellent model.

  2. Gorgeous work Rafi!

  3. Build and finishing are both awesome.

  4. You've done it again Rafi! Excellent project with the swept wings.

  5. Been wanting this one for a while. You have done a great job on it. Quite the Stringbag.

  6. Superb all over, Rafi! A great but challenging kit, which, of course, you tackled in your usual excellent manner.
    Congratulations!

    Beautiful job!

  9. Very nice result. This kit is one of Trumpeter's better ones, since they decided to steal the I.P. from Tamiya to do it right. Your result has nothing to do with theirs.

  10. A beautiful Swordfish, Rafi @blackmopane
The swept wing configuration looks really great.
