  2. Sikorsky UH-19A
  3. Portuguese SB-17G; (Conversion from B-17G)
  4. The Hawker Hurricane in Portuguese service; Arma Hobby, 1:72
  5. Portuguese Spitfire Mk.I; Tamiya 1/72
  6. SA-16A Albatross in Portuguese service; Sova-M, 1/72 kit

Finished over a year ago, a small Spitfire in Portuguese colors. Almost a weekend project.
Gunze paints and homemade decals.
A nice, relaxed build for a rainy weekend.
And yes, the code was like that, port and starboard different... πŸ™‚
Fun fact: the Portuguese Spitfires Mk.I were the only ones to have the gray and green paint job. In the UK, this paint job was only applied to later versions.

Hope you like,
M

  1. Unusual subject- looks very nice

  2. You don't see Portugese Spitfires built that often and especially not in this quality, Manuel @magrus
Excellent work done in this tiny scale.

Very nice work on a tiny size Spitfire Manuel!
Back when Tamiya released their first Mk.I Spitfire in 1/48 (97 or so) I made this same aircraft, using one of the first Portuguese decal maker β€œEsquadrΓ£o 33” if memory serves good. I still have some insignia decals from them in the stash.

  4. Beautifully done - the paintwork is fantastic.

  5. Dear Manuel @magrus, i really like the paintjob with the weathering and the subtle changes in the grey hue. This is a very nice display of how even a small 1/72 Spit can look great!

  6. Excellent job and superb result, Manuel! Love the Portuguese scheme!
