RCAF Hawk: 1/48th Eduard P-40N Warhawk
This Weekend in The Hangar: My 1/48th Eduard P-40N model represents RCAF serial number 857, aircraft "V" of No.135(F) Squadron, RCAF. Stationed at Patricia Bay, British Columbia, in 1944-45. This P-40N had an unusual paint finish of the RAF later war Dark Green / Ocean Gray over Medium Sea Gray. I applied this in a faded paint tone look (although it may be pretty subtle and difficult to see in the photographs.)
You can see more in-depth detail of this build with additional photos at: https://www.flypastrush.com/post/rcaf-hawk-1-48th-eduard-p-40n-warhawk
Thanks for looking & good luck on your next build.
That's a very nice Warhawk, @flypastrush
A great article on your website as well.
Thanks John,
Should be getting back into to more regular posting of articles now that the Holiday vacation period is over.
Nice P-40 in unusual colors.
Got to put together some different schemes after you've built a few of the regulars - Cheers
Excellent P-40! Love the scheme!
Thanks Spiros, The Eduard package is pretty nice of this P-40 kit
Looks great in this scheme!
Thanks Robert, That scheme is what inspired me to build another P-40
Well done. I need to get that one!
Thanks Chas, The Eduard is certainly one of the nicer P-40 model packages out there in 1/48th
Very unusual scheme for me at least. Well done model.
Thanks Dan, Yes I wasn't aware any P-40's were done up in this scheme... until I started looking into this subject and found out there were a few variations!
Well done!
Thanks Gary
Looks nice! More pics would always be appreciated...
Thanks Greg, I typically post a few more photos out at my weblog article: https://www.flypastrush.com/modelaircraftblog
