  1. Splendid Dr.1, your work really inspires me to resume my unfinished Meng model

  2. Fabulous, as per your style. I like the way the streaking shows under the red, little touches like the oil drip on the landing gear airfoil. Now I just read again, they say his tripe was not all red, just certain (large) areas. Guess there is conflicting info on this?
The figure is great, too. Keep 'em coming.

  3. TRULY AMAZING, David! Everything, and I mean everything in this build is excellent, from the Fokker construction to the painting, extremely realistic weathering...Manfred looks "himself" (and a tad worried, melancholic, might I add - a bad heritage after his head injury?).
    Congratulations, yet once again!

  4. That turned out great, David.

  5. Beautiful result, David @mentaldental
Everything on this build is breath taking.

  6. That is a great build, with some excellent paint work. I love all the variation in the red, really so much to look at and absorb. Excellent staining from the engine just a beautiful job.

  7. So much beautiful detail work that goes unnoticed - fantastic build!

  8. Beautiful work all around. Great detail and accuracy.

  9. Nothing looks better than a red Dr.1, David (@mentaldental). Interior is exceptional.

  10. Beautiful and an amazing work! The overall weathering, oil leaks and streaks, the look of the pilot’s face all so real looking!

  11. What they said, great job!

  12. G'day David (@mentaldental),

This is a lovely looking build.

I particularly like your painting of the Baron, himself.

I built this kit as his younger brother, Lothar's aircraft.

The build log is here https://imodeler.com/groups/imperial-german-air-service-luftwaffe-group-build-may-1st-1910-to-present-day/forum/topic/meng-fokker-dr-1/.

I'm slowly trying to paint the pilot himself - I'm not a figure painter like you.

Nor do I normally build bi/triplanes, but I really enjoyed this one.

If I hadn't built one already, yours would be inspiration to do so.
