Advance on Kiev
Not much to say here really, tells its own story.
-The bridge is from Mirage models, is basic but effective for what I wanted.
-Barge is the old Verlinden kit that looks quite cool when put together.
-Flak 38 is Dragon.
-Kettenkraftrad is the new Tamiya one. The 3 figures that come with it are excellent and built straight from the box. (The new Tamiya figures coming out now are very nice).
-The other figures are a mixture of Tamiya, Dragon, and Miniart. I particularly like the guy standing on the front of the barge putting his jacket on.
The water was a challenge as it's unforgiving. If you make a mistake it's there for eternity to remind you Everytime you look at it haha. I still struggle with doing water but on the whole I'm happy with how it's come out.
For an extra challenge, see if you can spot the cat
Hope you like it.
This is fantastic Carl
Fantastic diorama, Carl @carlpud
Indeed a self telling story.
Lots of details and to me the water looks perfect.
An amazing diorama, Carl!
Lots to see in this diorama, Carl, great work. I think the black and white cat is being petted by the semi-reclining soldier on the left hand of the boat, am I right?
Well done, good spotting of the cat. Gold star for you!
How did you get my cat on your barge?
It took a bit of work haha!
Nice diorama, love how it is layered with guys on the bridge and the barge underneath. Gets the viewer interested in looking all around. Good work on the water.
Nice job, Carl! I can appreciate the amount of work that goes into a project like this one. Agreed, water can be a make or break but yours came out nice.
I like the interaction with the cat, shows a non-war, human side.
Great work - the figures look excellent. All around nice project and well executed.
Good looking diorama, the water looks fine to me.
Hi Carl, what a GREAT diorama. Excellent work.
And I found the black and white cat
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
I just logged in, I usually start my comments on the first post seen.
This diorama caught my attention, it was next to last and I just had to make
my comments before it passed to page 2, especially me being a diorama
fanatic. This was like a must for me.
Carl ... you have done a noteworthy work on this project.
The story behind it can be clearly understood as soon as one watches it.
There is a very good amount of significantly done details, good painting and
a very good and varied poses on the figures.
Thank you for sharing these images.
Really nice this little dio! Congratulations @carlpud
Well done, Carl (@carlpud). This diorama really does tell its own story. I have also dabbled around with water, and it is, as you say, unforgiving. You obviously have it figured out, because the water looks perfect. Cheers.
Wonderful Carl 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
