1/48 Fw189
4-5 years in the making. Finally completed 1/48 Great Wall Focke Wulf Fw189A-1 . Stab 1/NJG 100 based in Greifswald Iuty, 1945. I came back to it after years of having lost interest. Nice to have it done.
Thanks for looking.
Paul.

Good work on a rather demanding build. Interesting finish...well done.
Amazing job, Paul! Fantastic painting and weathering! Great that you decided to finish this!
Well done. Always a sense of relief to put one of the forgotten to bed
Really nice looking Uhu, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker. Good decision to finally finish it. She looks great in winter scheme, what did you use for creating that.
Thanks mate.
I first did the standard 70/71 upper colours and then sprayed 2 coats of ak interactive weathered effects. Then did the uneven white paint. with some water and a toothbrush I rubbed the areas I wanted weathered until it was at the look I wanted. Then decaling, matt varnish and pastels etc.
It was fun to do. My first go at the ak stuff. ๐
Impressive to get this done what with all that glazing, that would always put me off, good job on a very ugly duckling.
Great work Paul, your weathering is sublime!
Love the interesting and realistic paint scheme.
Thanks mate. ๐ป
Very nice Paul, I may add that itโs one of the best 189 I recall
Thank you very much.
The winter distemper camo really looks good!
top winter worn camo!
Excellent winter camo. Youโve inspired me to pull my GWH kit off the shelf and get going.
Thank you. That's great you're looking at yours. I've had 3 people say the same on various sites, so that's great. Hopefully more Uhus will surface soon. ๐ค
So glad you managed to finish this, Paul, definitely worth doing.
Very cool! That's a superb paintjob on an interesting model plane! ๐ป
I love this one! I'm going to use this as reference for a 1/72 build!
Superb!
