Sadly reported missing in Action Huls 22/6/43

Six killed in action:
-Pilot: Ray Jess
-Navigator: Bob Davidson
-Bombardier: Jim Montgomery
-Radio Operator: Joe Godzinski
-Ball turret gunner: Byron Johnson
-Tail gunner: Frank White
May they RIP

Four taken prisoner:
-Co-pilot: Harry Gunn
-Flight engineer/top turret gunner: Harry Smith
-Left waist gunner: Sidney Hal
-Right waist gunner: Charless Hardacre

Hit by flak, crashed at Bergbossendorf, near Haltern, Germany 1943.
The last pic shows it alongside my Revell B-17G built years ago. I really should have a go at one of those 1/48 HK kits. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  2. Well done, Paul. Like the overall look. It looks nice next to the NM one.

  3. Very well done, Paul. You nailed the weathered olive drab perfectly on such a big model.

  4. Great build Paul. Excellent representation for the crew that you mentioned. Nice one ๐Ÿ‘

  5. Great looking B-17's. That's the first time I've seen bombs mounted externally underneath a B-17. Have always been told the 1/48 Revell B-17's are a challenge, but you made that one look great.

  6. Very nice result, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker
Not only this one but also the NMF one, must have been a lot of work to build a 1/48 Fortress.

  7. Great job. I love those Monogram and Revell B-17 kits and you have done a nice job with both of yours.

  8. Very nice work on this @paulwoodyvanacker. A great result.

  10. Looks great, I hope your friend is recovering.
