My favorite Monogram model, the 1/48 P-51B

June 23, 2024 · in Uncategorized · · 8 · 211

Growing up, the P-51B was my favorite model kit ( their 's are a close second). Here are a few I've done over the years.

First up, P-51B, S/Ldr Eugeniusz „Dziubek“ Horbaczewski, No. 315 (Polish) Squadron. Decals from MSAP.

Second, “Tommy's Dad” P-51B-7-NA Major John C. Herbst 74 FS 23 FG. I handpainted the name on the cowl, the rest are from various decal sheets in the stash.

Finally, “Ding Hao”, James Howard 354th FG. Decals are from Superscale.

You really must have a steady hand to be able to write text on a 1/48 build.
    Well done.
