Eduard Fw 190A-7 1/48
What a journey building this A-7! I will be finishing up an accompanying Fw 190D-9 within a few days and will be starting a diorama they will be displayed on.
I chose this specific scheme for its unique color pattern. It called for RLM 76, which throughout the war appears to have changed from various shades of light grey - light blue. I thought the light grey looked nice and decided to go for that mix.
There were many challenges to get this bird together, but ultimately I am quite satisfied with the results
The entire build can be found here, in addition to many of projects going on for the diorama -
That’s really a nice looking 190. Very detailed with all those panels opened up, and the paint scheme is beautifully done… great work all around !
Thank you, Jay!
I agree, that 190 turned out wonderful. I can just imagine the challenges in trying to get all those open panels to fit nice while not breaking off parts already in place and of course all the extra work detailing and painting those interior pieces.
lol oh they broke off. Many many times. Luckily I was resilient and kept reattaching them 😅. Thank you!
What an incredible paintjob, immaculate weathering. Fantastic build!
Appreciate that Felix!
Excellent build. I am in the process of finishing a model with open panels... ugh. I remembered why I don't build them that often.
Yeah, it is quite involved to say the least. The D-9 I built along with this is also partially opened. Thank you!
Incredible work on this model, Keith! 🤩 Great scale modeling! 🏆
Thank you Gary!
That is one seriously outstanding build and finish. Hats off!
Thank you Jay!
That's a super 190 Keith. Looking forward to seeing the completed diorama 👍
Thanks Guy! Hoping to get the diorama squared away in the next few weeks.
I can only agree with the above compliments, Keith @greenterrorz
This Würger looks extremely realistic with this weathering and lots of details.
She will look amazing in a diorama.
Thanks for the support throughout the whole build John!
Love it
Thank you!
really nice!
Appreciate that!
Really nice and a superb result!
Is this the early 190A kit, that had the panels open?
Thank you Tom!
This is one of their newer Fw. All the panels had to be manually removed. I’m also building their older D-9 which is as you describe.
Wonderful job, Keith!
Thank you my friend!
Excellent build, impressive detail work.
Thank you!
Beautiful job there Keith. 190’s are one of my favourites, yours looks fantastic.
Expertly done! Lot of skill on display there.
