Although we now live in New Zealand, I'm still very 'British'. Got my first kit for my 7th birthday and been building ever since - I'm 52 now.

Occasionally I build 1:35 AFV's, but mainly I build military aircraft of all most era in most scales, as a 'break' from aircraft building I also build 1:25/24 NASCAR racers and the occasional (American) car.

RAF Double Build

Built for the ‘Micro Modelling Month’ Campaign (GB) over at Modellers Alliance, Exactly three weeks from opening the boxes until finishing today – well I say finished, both models have a little ‘tidying-up’ still to do. The [...]

VnAF F-5A ‘Freedom Fighter’

Hey folks, my most recent (two hours ago) completed project - The 1:48 Kinetic F-5A/C 'Freedom Fighter'. Mostly the kit was an easy and rewarding build - I say mostly as the fit of the intakes was laughable, not so much as a gap at the [...]

DH Vampire T.55

Well here's a thing, I finished an Airfix Vampire too ! Built for the RNZAF 80th Anniversary GB over at Kiwi Modeller, the Airfix T.11/T.55 is quite simply a delight. Construction is virtually vice-free with only a 'smear' of putty here [...]

F/A-18A Hornet VFA-15 ‘Valions’

Hello folks. Well here's a thing, a fourth completion in four months... really this is not the speed I usually work at, think 'mein Frau' is adding something to my 'English Breakfast Tea' ! Hobbyboss's F/A-18 isn't without its' faults:- [...]

‘Different’ Defiant

Not simply a 'great Airfix kit', in my opinion, one of the best fitting and rewarding kits of any manufacturer that I've built in years. No I'm not one of those folks that screamed and shouted for a 48th Defiant in the past, to tell the [...]

' Utility' Panther

Hey folks, as mentioned, my follow-up to the F-8 Crusader from a couple of weeks back is another USN subject. One of the quickest (a month-and-a-day), easiest and most relaxing builds I've ever done. The old Monogram F9F-2 Panther updated [...]

F-8J Crusader

Good afternoon from a cold and damp Middle Earth. Well here t'is after eight months on-and-off the bench, my Hasegawa 1:48 Crusader. Now before I go-on, as I was editing the pics for size, I noticed that I've forgotten to add the IR Sensor [...]

The last ADC Eagle.

Hello everyone first finish in a few weeks. This is the not-too-good Academy 1:48 F-15A, I've had this in the stash for a fair number of years and had always intended to build it as a Bitburg machine fully loaded with wall-to-wall [...]

AB-212

Hello folks, seem to have been absent from iM for a few weeks, so apologies for that: To the point - Isn't it odd how things work-out. Over on another site I've been ruthlessly lobbying for a SAR themed build for a long time and this year, [...]

Hunter FR.10

Built for 'Micro Modelling Month' over at www.modelersalliance.com - an annual GB/Campaign to build any model in one of the smaller scales. As I have four of these kits on the shelf, I thought it was time to build another Hawker Hunter, [...]
