Although we now live in New Zealand, I'm still very 'British'. Got my first kit for my 7th birthday and been building ever since - I'm 52 now.

Occasionally I build 1:35 AFV's, but mainly I build military aircraft of all most era in most scales, as a 'break' from aircraft building I also build 1:25/24 NASCAR racers and the occasional (American) car.

Kiwi Kittyhawk

Mentioned in my Mosquito build the other day that a Kittyhawk build was following-on, and here t'is ! The 1:48 AMT /Ertl kit came out around twenty years ago and was 'top of the tree' for a couple of years before Hasegawa came along and [...]

BAFO Mosquito

Yep I'm still here, just short of 'bench time' because we've been moving house (again ! - four times in six years including the move down here to NZ). So here's my first project since the move. Even though it's a Tamiya kit, I really took [...]

Nissan GT-R 'Z-Tune'

Well here's a thing - not a race-car, not an 'exotic', not even a NASCAR, just a VERY fast limited edition (only 20 units (re)built) of one of the greatest cars you've never heard of ! Not going to go in to the history of Nissan's GT-R [...]

(..yet another) Porsche - 911 GT1

Not too much to say. I bought the kit from a UK seller on eBay - because the box was worn & scuffed, it was a steal even with the postage down here to Middle Earth. It arrived on a Monday and by the Wednesday I was deep in to the build [...]

Junior's 'Rookie Season' Chevy

Another NASCAR build finished today. This one is dedicated to a bloke who is one of the hobby's 'good guys'. Couple of years back I posted three NASCAR builds in quick succession over at Britmodeller - Keefr22 was very complimentary and [...]

Turn of the Century NASCAR

Finished this morning: The 'gold' one is Revells' 1999 (slab-side) Chevy Monte Carlo built almost straight from the box, I lowered the ride-height about 1.5mm as I do with all my NASCAR builds. The decals are from Powerslide, printed by [...]

’65 Chevy C-10 Stepside

Hello folks, back with another vehicle project: This time the excellent Revell '65 Stepside. No chrome, low-profiles or carbon ceramic discs on this one, just good old sheet steel and skinny cross-plies and brakes the size of milk-bottle [...]

Alpha Jet - a 'Year of the Cat' build

Hey again... Yep two finishes in as many days - definitely NOT the way I usually roll, but no matter. Kinetic 1:48 Alpha Jet with (outstanding) Wingman decals and no other extras whatsoever. Kit does have some 'build issues' most notably [...]

M18 Hellcat

Just finished my Academy M18 Hellcat... Bought as soon as it came out in 1997, started almost as soon as I got it home and finished this morning ! - no I'm not kidding. I used about 30% of the Verlinden kit-specific detail set including [...]

'Old Skool Airfix'Super Mystere B2

Built in the middle of my P-47 project - I was waiting on some extras from the UK - 90mins to build and a few on-and-off sessions to spray-mask-spray again. Think this one dates from 1972, the decals are from an (almost as old) [...]
