I love modeling! I mainly do 1/48 aircraft from all countries and eras (mainly from about the interwar period to about the seventies) but also a few cars and some sci-fi! I've been modeling now for about five years after a fifteen year hiatus and have recently expanded into the wonderful world of resin kits! (Got a couple of Neomega cockpits for my Viggen and Buccaneer and their Yak-23 and J-29 Tunnan. Waiting on my LSM Martin B-10)

I generally have more than one kit going at a time to save cleaning time on my airbrush! I recently got done doing a Skyray, Cutlass, Crusader, Phantom and Tomcat all in Grey and white. Still have an A3D, Vigilante two Intruders and a Prowler to start on, but I'm sick of grey and white for a while! Now I'm on to some 50's era F-100s (two D's and an F) in 1/48 scale and am also working on a 1/32 F-100D and Lightning F.1A in Firebirds markings.

Apart from modeling I also enjoy accumulating foreign cars. Only two cars are in my stash because I put them there, the others seemed to just show up in my driveway! I saw there's a "My Garage" forum, I'll have to post some stuff there. I also will have my private pilots license 10 years this July and like to get up when weather is nice and finances allow it! (I have to rent my plane, and between the cars, flying and modeling, I can't do it all all the time!) I also enjoy attending EAA (I refuse to call it AirVenture) every year since I live in Oshkosh. (Anybody need photos from the museum for reference, just let me know. I'd be glad to help out!)

Williams Bros 1/48 Corben Super Ace

Well, I said the Super Ace was hot on the heels of my Ford Flivver and here it is... Fifteen months later! I have to get moving if I'm going to make a dent in the stash! I had built this kit back in the 90's but it is so spindly it did not [...]

Minimum Factory VF-1J From Robotech/Macross in 1/20 Scale!

Disclosure notice! I did not build this. A gentleman named Suichi Hayachi built it. I am merely sharing his incredible work. I have also invited him to join us at iModeler. Since 1985 I have loved the show Robotech and have a collection [...]

General Dynamics YF-16, Monogram 1/48

Well, this is another kit I had in my childhood that did not get built to my expectations back then. Lofty goals, but scotch tape and rattle cans combined with heavy handed paint application (at least as a kid I didn't have to spray the [...]

Ford Flivver. 1/48 Williams Bros.

Here's one I've been wanting to add to the collection. It started out as a weekend build last week, but I needed time for my gloss blue to dry. As it is one week is stellar for me in terms of getting a kit done! I don't know the actual [...]

Free Handley Page Victor! 1:1 scale

Well, you folks know how I like big models? I submit this! If it can get to the States it would probably be allowed to fly. (Provided the corrosion is repairable.) Would make a nice stablemate for XS422 down at Stennis! Who wants to help [...]

This Just in From the Czech Republic!

I'll be doing a write up with photos in WIP/reviews later tonight (along with filming a YouTube review) but just wanted to post in headlines that DANG! They have outdone themselves with this kit!

ED-209 “You are illegally parked on private property! “

Almost missed the deadline for the iModeler at the movies build! In the unspecified time frame of Paul Verhoven's 1987 film RoboCop a corporation called Omni Consumer Products has entered a contract with Old Detroit to fund and manage the [...]

Lindberg 1/48 Curtiss BFC-2

Due to Robert Knaack's article on November third I was motivated to get off my butt, order some EZ Line and finish my Goshawk. It also got me excited to build the FBC-2 from Freedom Models! The problem was I, like many others have been put [...]

Revell 1/48 B-1B (Finished This Time) and Stuff.

Well, I thought the contest I was bringing this to was in November. I had to finish this up in a week. (The last bits, putting on the landing gear, doors and bombs in the bays was finished yesterday after work. I had no idea I'd be up a [...]

Revell 1/48 B-1B

I have had this kit in the stash for about a decade now. (The day I bought it at Happy Hobby in Milwaukee the owner, Dennis, called me out the front door and an actual B-1 was doing a flyby at Timmerman Field! True story!) I have [...]
