I'm a retired Lieutenant Fire Fighter / EMT. Prior to working as a Firefighter, I also served in Law Enforcement for several years.

In following with our long line of family military service, dating all the way back to 1776, I'm a US Army veteran (tanker). I served mostly in the M-60A1 and eventually the M1-A1 series tanks. I was a crew member in the Abrams only for a short while.

My Dad was kind of like "Lt. Dan" from the movie Forrest Gump. Fortunately dear old Dad broke our "family curse" of having members killed in every major conflict that the United States has ever had. My Dad was wounded in the Korean War, and thankfully he was not killed. Otherwise I wouldn't be here if he was. I accidentally happened some years later...

My other hobbies include restoring old "Mopar" muscle cars from the late 1960's and early '70s. I also enjoy building aircraft in 1/48 & 1/32 scale, along with 1/35 Armor. I especially like the WW2 stuff. Lately I have been gravitating towards the First World War 1/32 scale aviation kits though...

I built my first model (Revell 1/32 P-40 "Flying Tigers" version) when I was 8 years old. I currently have about 600 kits ( of which about 1/4 are built).

1/35 Tamiya JS-3 Stalin Tank

Here's one fresh off the work bench. I just finished up the pastel weathering. It has been built for a little while, but was lacking the final details. It has Fruilmodel tracks, and I fabricated tow cables from copper wire. I used [...]

1/48 Tamiya 61013 Nakajima Ki-84-1A Hayate (Frank)

This is the venerable Tamiya kit from the late 60's / early 1970's. (In all actuality it is more like a 1/50 scale model). Still it was a fun build. I accidentally arrived at this finish. It was featured in a magazine called "Great [...]

1/48 Hobby Boss F4F-3 Grumman early Wildcat

For your enjoyment on "All Hallows Eve", here is my interpretation of an early Wildcat from "The Iron Works ". So if you're done passing out candy and have some time for yourself please check it out. As always [...]

1/48 AMT F7F Tigercat

This is another one of my favorite planes. This one was built with the addition of a set of True Details resin wheels. I had heard some of the horror stories about how the wheels fall apart after a while so I replaced them right off the [...]

Tamiya 1/48 F4U-1D Vought Corsair

Here is my Tamiya Corsair, built as it served with VF-84 on board the US Aircraft Carrier "Bunker Hill". You just can't have enough of them ! (At least I can't) This one was built using the kit parts to fold up the wings. This [...]

1/48 Accurate Miniatures P-51A Mustang

Greetings everyone. Here are a few photos of my rendition of an early AAF Mustang. I included a color WW2 photo of the original plane that was my inspiration for the project. I liked the two tone camouflage. Most of the early [...]

Focke Wulf Ta-152 C-0 V7 werk no. 110007

Here's another one of my favorite models. It's the Focke-Wulf Ta-152. The kit is manufactured by Hobby Boss and is in 1/48 scale. It is finished using Model Master enamels. This is an amazing kit and it went together without a problem. [...]

1/35 Tamiya Jagdpanther (late)

This is my second article posted. I'm new to I-modeler and I have received a warm welcome from many. Thanks! I have a lot of finished models, mainly 1/48 aircraft (some 1/32) and 1/35 armor. My main interest is in the WW2 and Korean [...]

1/48 F4U-1 builds (Tamiya and Hobby Boss)

This is my first posting here. I'm new to this group. Here are a few pictures of the Corsairs I'm currently working on. I'm a die hard F4U fan. I try my best to make my models as accurate as possible. I do a lot of research and [...]
