Retired Marine Master Gunnery Sergeant. I have been building models since I was about 7 years old in 1956 and have been ever since. Now in my 70’s I enjoy it as much now as I did then. Main interest currently are the classic Monogram big Bombers, other interests are WWI aviation and ships. I ride a Harley to work most days as I live in Arizona and the weather is mostly permitting. Have fun, enjoy the build and don’t get too wrapped around the axle over the small stuff.

It had been years since I built a Monogram B-24D. After reading about the Ploesti Raid of 1 August 1943, I decided on the "Squaw". It survived the raid and went to do a Bond Tour. Naturally, the naked squaw was redone and the Snow White Dwarf[...]
I started this build with the intention of doing “Cocktail Hour” of the 43rd Bomb Group, 64th Bomb Squadron of the 5th Air Force based on Le Shima in 1945. The artwork of SSgt Sarkis Bartigian graced many of the aircraft in this Squadron and th[...]
The Liberator has always been one of my favorite U.S. Heavies and when Monogram introduced it back in 1978 it was a major breakthrough in modeling for me. I had seen photo's of the Liberator in Royal Canadian Air Force Coastal Command markings [...]
