Hello, I’ve been making models since the mid 1960s. It was mainly Airfix 1/72nd aircraft then. I have fond memories of the Airfix Spitfire, Hudson & B-17 to name but a few. I started work in 1971 and modelling took a back seat for a while. When I got married in the mid 1970s, I drifted back into making models. While still making Airfix kits, I also built some of the then new Matchbox kits. I thought Matchbox made some very unusual subjects, which I enjoyed building. When the kids came along, modelling was put aside one more time. But not for long, I soon started making models once again. This time I progressed to an airbrush and compressor. I mainly make 1/48th scale aircraft with an occasional armoured vehicle. Regards, Julian.
I don't know if anyone on iModeler has heard of On The Bench Podcasts before. I discovered them on Hyperscale. It's a fortnightly Podcast which last for approximately an hour. So far there have been 28 Episodes all dedicated to the scale mode[...]

This is the Tamiya 1/48th scale FB Mk.VI Mosquito. I made both the FB Mk VI, and the B Mk IV when they were first released. The FB Mk VI was released way back in 1998. It is painted with Aeromaster acrylic. The decals are from Aeromaster Set 48-[...]
After seeing the DSPIAE Craft Tool Rack on the Internet a few weeks ago I thought I would treat myself, so I ordered one from Breveco Modelling. It arrived very well packaged in a nice strong box. On opening, I found a bag of biscuits. Nice tou[...]

In October, I was very fortunate to win the iModeler random award. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Martin and all the team for the Airfix 1/48th Curtiss Tomahawk Mk.II I received. I've not yet posted a WIP on iModeler, but would l[...]
This is the Accurate Miniature F3F-1 biplane. I made it back in 2000 when it was first released. I made the kit straight out of the box, which included the etched rigging. If memory serves me right, any of the F3F-1 squadrons could be made with [...]
