50 years old and just entering back into the modelling world. My models are mostly OOB, with only slight detailing..ALL paint is either through a spray can or by brush.
Edit...i've now invested in a compressor and airbrush, so now i'ts a steep learning curve, mistakes WILL be made! lol
Finally finished this Stuka from Trumpeter.
I had no issues building this, apart from spending ages painting the engine, only to find its invisible once you add the cowling and I didn't fancy doing "plastic surgery' (I'm not [...]
Here is my latest build after quite a long, ongoing illness. Its the 1:32 Revell Bf109 G-6.
The build itself was basically OOB, except for some PE seat belts, and a seat "pad" made from an off cut of material (again, not correct, [...]
WIP on my Tamiya Jagermeister Porsche 934
This kit has really "done my head in" lol
Started off really well, then turned into a "comedy of errors". First off, a decided it would be a good idea to spray the camouflage at about 3am (after a 12 hour work shift), [...]
Having almost got my health back (not 100%, but getting there), i decided i'd build this HobbyBoss Me262 nightfighter. Fitment was good, apart from the shaped metal nose weight that needed a little grinding to allow the nose to fit [...]

So a guilty son bought me another, only in 72nd scale.
My eyesight is still not [...]
Built straight OOB. No problems, just a fun little kit to build while I'm recovering from illness.
Few things i DONT like about this kit is the gaping chasm where the driver should be if, as i did, you build it with the hatch open, and [...]
Another kit built for my son, BUT, I'm keeping it!
Built OOB apart from the logs which i "borrowed" from my neighbours tree to hide a blemish in the paint job (thumb print)
Overall I'm happy with the finish, just wish i could get [...]
Well, after "recovering" from the dreaded Covid-19, I've now been diagnosed with Chronic Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome (yep, I've never heard of it before either.) So work on the Victory has taken a back step. To try and cheer me [...]
Yes, this is a starter kit, but, the fit is INCREDIBLE. Did this for a break from the Victory (which is slowly coming along)
No filler was required, and all paints used were by Vallejo. Decals went down well with "set" & [...]
