50 years old and just entering back into the modelling world. My models are mostly OOB, with only slight detailing..ALL paint is either through a spray can or by brush.
Edit...i've now invested in a compressor and airbrush, so now i'ts a steep learning curve, mistakes WILL be made! lol
So, having had this kit since April, i've finally made a start.
HOURS of "Youtube" videos watched, and i finally settled on just 2. (both of whom i class as master-builders)
First job was to thicken the gun ports on the lower two [...]
Built this as a "Quickie", OOB to give me a break between the "Dora", and the now started 1/100th HMS Victory. (build photo's on another article eventually)
Kit was a real pleasure to build, but for some reason i had an [...]
So finally started on this beauty. Building OOB (i've a 1:100th Heller HMS VICTORY to start.)
Started on the "Eddies", and, as i've never done a figure, i'm quite pleased with the outcome. Only problem is, i cant get the seated [...]
SO, the wife has laid down strict instruction that before i start "ANOTHER SINGLE KIT" that i must either, "finish, fix or bin" ALL the ones laying around. So, as i'm desperate to start the Revell "Iron [...]

At 1/72nd, it measures 44 inches (base) long, 2800+ parts.
When the box arrived, that was BIG also (getting the [...]
Well, this kit has turned out to be a total PITA. Yes it's a skill level 5, but come-on Revell, at least make your instruction understandable!
To get this far, I've used MORE filler than on my previous 2 other kits, the inner cargo bay is [...]
THANK YOU SANTA, ok, thank you to the Mrs.
Next build, and it'll be a LONG one to boot. Revell's 1/32 Tornado Gr1. At 55.1cm, this one will take pride of place in our living room, IF i can do it justice.
I know it's an old kit that's been [...]
JUST finished in time for Christmas, ( and the start of my Revell 1:32nd Tornado).
My son purchased this kit about a month ago, (along with a 350th Bismarck) and asked me to help him. This usually means "Can you do it for me [...]
Just built these 2 for my son who wants to build a "D-Day" themed diorama (meaning i'll end up attempting it)
Straight from the box, few parts (but some very tiny). The only thing i wish i had changed is on the Jeep. That is the [...]
A nice little build made up of 76 parts.
Supposed to be a s
"snap-fit", but some/most parts were fixed with Tamiya Extra Thin cement.
I used a rattle can for this with the red being a shade i liked, and not necessarily the [...]
