Turkish 40′s Fighters

Here some Turkish fighters were in service during WWII. I was always interested in WWII fighters and when I discovered many famous fighters had in service under star and crescent, I found myself in plastic model world starting late 80's. Beginning I built most of them in 1/72 and 1/48 scales but finally I decided to make a new collection in . There are some kit waiting to built (Fw-190, P-47, Mosquito, Beaufighter, MkI etc) also in TuAF markings.

Here some details for models:

Hurricane Mk.IIc : 1/32
Morane Saulnier Ms-406C1 : 1/32
Curtiss P-40C : 1/32
Mk1a : Revell 1/32 ( mould)
Spitfire Mk.Vb : Hasegawa 1/32
Spitfire MkIXc : Pacific Coast 1/32

All markings painted excepy stars and crescents commercial decals.

Happy modelling
Ozkan

  1. Nice builds...nice photography.

  2. What a nice collection. I am seriously impressed by what you managed to do with that terrible Revell 1/32 Hurricane. A very serious WOW for that one.

  3. Hi Ozkan
That is a very impressive collection of models. I was aware that Turkey had Spitfires and 190's but there are a few surprises here for me. The Turkish Air Force is probably the only one to operate both the Spitfire and the Fw190?

Are there any online English language sources about this period on the Turkish Air Force you can recommend.
    Thanks
    Brian
