1/32 Scale Westland Wessex HC.2 from Fly Models
This is my completed Westland Wessex from Fly Models, Man this is a big kit, and a enjoyment to build.
I did quite a bit of scratch building in the interior and the open avionics bay in the nose, as you will see from the first pictures I posed, the biggest challenge was the masking and painting of the Union Jack on the nose.
I absolutely loved building this kit and I recommend it to everyone with a large display case.
I hope you enjoy the pictures,
Marc

she’s a beauty! Great finish and weathering, and I was gonna ask if that Union Jack was a decal, but you answered that! Nicely done.

Lovely job. Looks a great model. I am tempted by this kit but would have to do a Senior Service one not a Crab Air one!
Marc Barris said on March 8, 2016
Hey there Mark, thanks for your kind comments, for us colonials here in South Africa, define the Senior service one. Sorry don’t mean to sound stupid.
mark poulton said on March 12, 2016
The Royal Navy is the Senior Service.
The Army and Royal Air Force not always best impressed with the term!
Marc Barris said on March 12, 2016
Cheers Mark, thanks for the explanation.
