Tamiya's 1/32 P-51D & F4U-1A
Here are my two World War II classics from Tamiya. The P-51 is built OOB except for the fabric seat belts and resin tires, the Corsair have the Eduard resin cockpit , resin wheels, resin aft engine area and fabric seat belts, the rest is out of the box. Also on the Corsair all the insignia are painted, no decals on this one.
I hope you like them!
Excellent builds, Jorge...absolutely stunning workmanship, sir (with equally awesome photos as well).
Great work ! Superb weathering.
Great builds and exquisite paintjobs!
Great weathering on the Corsair and great NMF on the Mustang.
Hat off.
Hello Jorge...Simply outstanding work on both the Corsair and Mustang. Your weathering skills are spot-on and very well done. My compliments on your modeling as well as your photography.
Both look really excellent. Great finishing/weathering technique and superb job on the fuse/wing root joins on both. Love both of 'em (even if they are in too big scale) 😉
🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Nice work on those two models, the weathering is very well balanced out, not too heavy and strong yet well pronounced.
Really nice Jorge, Two of my favorite airplanes done well, I like them a lot.
Excellent! I am building the 1/32 P-51 now, is the Corsair as good? I am finding the P-51 to be one of if not THE best kits I ever bought.
Rob the corsair is a gem, the fitting goes way above the mustang and the detail is superb
These are what my models want to look like when they grow up...!
You and me both, Greg!
Love the fuselage insignia on the Corsair, very rarely seen variation.
Beautiful duo ! Nice weathering.
Lovely pair of 1/32 builds, the Tamiya Corsair especially seems to have a great fan club.
I forgot to ask, whose stencils did you use for the insignia on the Corsair?
George i used MAketar's stencils for the Corsair
Jorge, these are both absolutely superb. I feel the Corsair has the edge, mainly due to the masterful weathering. There's just something about that faded blue...
Super work Jorge - uniformly high standard on both - thought the corsair was best for a while but looked at the Mustang again and couldn't make up my mind! Wonderful - thank you!
What great models. Outstanding!
