Tu-22m3: The Diorama
This article is part of a series:
Hello fellow iModelers,
I am usurping the front page just one more time with this topic, to show you the finished diorama featuring the big Tu-22m3, now in her natural habitat. I am very proud and thankful that she was selected for the Best in Show in January and is now presented on a fitting base. You can read and see more following this link :

Terrific modelling and great looking diorama. Must be a monster of a model, hope it will be kept in a glass box so you don´t have to dust it.

Technically, this is without peer. I am aware of just how difficult those ‘ladders’ are to construct, never mind reaching these heady levels of realism. The Work in Progress was a joy to follow. A masterclass in technical skill, patience, and attention to detail.
Superb, Aleks. In every detail.

@dirtylittlefokker
David my friend, you want to get me all hoity-toity or what? 😀
You are right about those service ladders BTW – they are one mighty challenging piece of photo-etching! Hands down the hardest part of this build, but such a focal point as well. And now I need to figure out how to pack them (and the rest) securely for the show…
Cheers!
