1/48 Airfix Blenhiem Mk1
My first completed model this year… I think. Bristol Blenhiem Mk1 Green 139 RAF 1938. 1/48 Airfix kit.
Went together very nicely. I’m so excited that Airfix has produced so many wonderful 1/48 Raf subjects. I’m sure they will keep them coming . My guess is a Hampden sometime in the future, seeing as they were looking at the one being restored in the UK.
For now, the Tiger Moth will be my next Airfix kit on the to do list.
Hope you like. Thanks for looking.

Very nice. Is that the original kit interior? I may have to come out of my “no more kits until the stash is below 100” oath

Hi George. Thank you so much. Yes, as Tom said, I just added some seatbelts and the rest is this wonderful kit. 😁

Nice. I have that one on deck.

Thank you. 😊

Yes, George, that model is 100% OOB, other than the seatbelts. I’ve done one and loved it, have another in the “to do” pile. Definitely one of Airfix’s best new kits.
Paul – as I said above, I’ve one one of these. It’s a real honey of a kit, and you have really hit it dead-center in its “sweet spot” with this one. Just really lovely. Great work!

Thank you so much Tom. Having seen your Blenhiem and so many others of your outstanding work, this really means alot. Thank you. 🙏

Like the early clours on this one. Would that be a parachute pack behind the pilot´s seat? Did he have to clip it on before jumping ship???
Paul van Acker said on September 27, 2019
Thank you so much.. Yes it is a parachute . The cramped cockpit was addressed with the extended nose section of the MkIV Blenhiem. 😊

Sharp looking Blenheim Paul! I too have one of these along with the SBS engine set waiting in the to do pile.

Lovely work Paul!

Very nice. I’m trying to wrap up the 1/72 version and had a heck of a time with the expansive greenhouse of a canopy and trying to get it meshing up with the rest of the cockpit. So now I’m trying to morph it into a crash dio with firefighting foam covering the worst of the crimes.
