1/48 Mauve P-40M/KittyHawk III
Latest off the bench is the old Mauve kit depicted as the mount that Pilot Officer Geoffrey Fisken flew with 14 Squadron on Guadalcanal in 1943. Added a seat plus some Ultracast wheels to spice her up a bit. A combination of Tamiya paints and Model Master acrylics were used. The decals for Fisken's plane were graciously provided by a fellow modeler who like me enjoys building P-40's. And no I did not paint those stripes they are in fact decals .A Pitt Pen was used to highlight panel lines and nylon thread was used for the antenna line.
Had several self inflicted issues with this build, but after awhile you just tell yourself get her done.
Quick shout out to Frederick Seitz who's KittyHawk III ,posted here several days ago, is really a show stopper. Well done Fred.

A P-40 is a very welcome sight and this one is no exception … good work Tom.
Nice to see this kit built up Tom, the Mauve P-40's have an almost mythical status.
Great Build.
Good looking P-40! Interesting scheme - it definitely was not a "designer" who decided where to put all the stripes!
So true Greg so true
This is another Masterpiece from the Bebout Curtiss factory... well done Tom. Your signature base looks perfect under this one !
