Wingnut Wings Albatros B.II

November 8, 2019 · in Aviation · · 7 · 1.9K

No drama with building this kit - very little to do in order to make things fit, except where I'd probably made a previous error. Finished in Aviattic Austro-Hungarian CDL, with MRP paints, Gaspatch turnbuckles and Uschi wood effect decals. Weathered with a combination of oils, inks and Mig powders. All in all a very enjoyable 3 month project.

  1. Beautifully done Robert. I especially like the paint and weathering. Very nice!

  2. Masterpiece, and that’s all folks! Seriously it’s a masterpiece in several ways including the area around the cockpit (what is that? Burnt Iron?) and a most realistic wood floor

  3. The "wood" looks as if it is... well... real wood! Great build Robert, you must be very proud!

  4. That one's a real beauty! Beautiful details and paint work, to accent the wood decals, etc.

  5. All of the above! Great work.

  6. Thanks to all for the very generous comments. Much appreciated!
