Tamiya 1/48 kit, built OOB with the exception of Eduard seat harness. Gunze-Sangyo aqueous acrylics used. SuperScale decals.
P-47 Thunderbolt 42-27181 coded 2Z-D. White theater recognition cowl band. John Drummond held the rank of captain and piloted a P-47D Thunderbolt with the nose art "Raid Hot Mama" 405th Fighter Group. He was shot down over in 1944 near Giéville, France. During his time of service Drummond received the Decorated Distinguished Flying Cross, two Purple Hearts, nine Air Medals, and three Battle Stars.

Excellent! so far I have resisted building this one, though the 405th FG is fave so one day...
