Lindberg 1/48 F-8J Crusader
Lindberg 1/48 F-8J Crusader.
I purchased this kit for £3.00 a long time back.
Finally decided to make it.
I had to scratch build the target designator that sits in front of the canopy.
Decals used are aftermarket as the ones that came with kit were thick and crumbled when trying to move them into position. The kit went together fairly easily with only a little filler used.
Paints used are Halfords rattle can undercoat white, Vallejo model colour Light Grey (airbrushed).
Now to make a simple base with the unit and carrier badges on it:

Nice to see such an oldie of a kit built in such excellency, my friend @phillipe50!
Halfords white looks very good!

The Halfords white primer is a matt colour. All the other Halford whites used on cars are gloss.

Beautiful build, Phillip.
It definitely deserves a base to make its beauty stand out.
