P-51D “Short-Fuse Sallee”
- this plane represents one flown by Richard Turner with the 354th FG in the 9th AF. -The 354th was attached to the 9th AF as the first P-51 group in Europe , but it flew a majority of its missions under the control of the 8AF. Doing bomber escort missions and was actually the highest scoring P-51 unit in Europe. - This is the 1/32 Revell kit with Aerocraft models canopy set. Kit andDraw Decals set for Short-Fuse Sallee used. Barracuda wheels/tires. -Paints used: Alclad, Tamiya, ModelMaster, AK Real colors
