F-4E Phantom II

August 16, 2021 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.9K

This is my new job, an II. The model is old and very very bad. Only the stencils are saved. I have riveted it and added the landing gear cables. I have also detailed the AIM-9 Sidewinders. I hope you like it. See you next time.

  1. Well I don't know if it was a good kit or a bad kit, but you made it a beautiful kit! Wonderful paint work and detail, love the SEA camo scheme.

  2. Just one word to be said, WOW, Jesus @jhermosellcorbod
This is a very nice build including lots of details, for example the wheel bays added cables.
    Those Japanese schemes are beautiful.
    Well done.

  3. I remember you wrote to me about your Phantom being in progress,a couple of weeks ago, jesus.
Well, your result is truly amazing: not only you tackled the old and plagued with a number of issues Italeri kit, but you came up wit a wonderful painting and weathering result.
I love your chosen scheme: the Japanese F-4s sported some amazing schemes.
Congratulations , my friend, see you next time with a wonderful model!

  4. Great job! I tried to assemble Italeri's RF-4E last year, (one piece) canopy fit was so bad I gave up on it. This one is a pleasure to look at!

  5. Nice work, Jesus. I have to disagree about the kit. That’s the old Esci kit reboxed which is a pretty decent model shape and fit wise. All it needs is a little work from a decent modeler to improve the detail. You have done a fine job with it!

  6. Good kit, bad kit, meh. Great model result!

  7. Very nice result.

  8. You certainly beat that old kit into submission.

  9. You built this beautifully .

  10. Excellent work on this old kit, great result, definitely liked.

  11. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
A beautiful work on this model Jesus.
The added details really show making this build standout.
Good or bad kit, for me no big matter, making it pop out and glow in it's grandeur ...
    that matter's. You did well.
    Thanks for sharing the pictures.

  12. Thanks for your opinion.

  13. Phantastic Phantom! Looks great.

  14. That's a beautiful Phantom! Love the scheme, and the extra work you put into it (riveting, etc.). I'm working on a 1/72 Italeri Phantom now, and will also be sanding off the raised panel lines, rescribing and riveting. Lots of work, but it really pays off in the end.

  15. Have to agree with some of the other commentators this is the old Esci kit and despite its age it actually fits well and has some finely engraved panel lines. The detailling is what gives its age away. I am building one right now.
You are to be much commended for raising the level of this model and that is one sweet colour scheme.
    Well done
