Hi All,
The 1/48, Airfix, Sea Fury Export completed as:

Substituted kit parts with the following:
Barracuda Sea Fury Cowling Upgrade
Barracuda Sea Fury Engine Front and Spinner
Barracuda Sea Fury Mainwheels, Diamond Tread
Fundekals Sea Furies of the Royal Canadian Navy
Colors:
AK Real Colors, RC285, RAF Sky Grey
AK Real Colors, RC295, RAF Extra Dark Sea Grey
AK Real Colors, RC005, Signal Red
Painted the spinner star and Fundekals black stripe decals used for the color demarcation.
This was my second Airfix Sea Fury. It's a fun kit to build and recommended. The Fundekals are recommended as well.
Thanks for checking it out. Until next time...KEEP IT FUN.
A very solid build Gary. The spinner star is a real treat, and the paint work looks spot on. To me the Sea Fury is the most elegant of all British piston fighters, your model captures it well
Thanks, Pedro.
Nice! Great looking Sea Fury, great job on the build. The paint job, the star on the spinner, the overall finish came out really nice.
Thanks, Bob
Very nice, Gary!
Thanks, John!
Looks really sharp Gary. Every bit as nice as your last one! That spinner star is like icing on the cake! Did the Barracuda cowl and engine front fit nice and easy? Any fiddle work required? Ditto Pedro’s comments.
Thank you, Eric.
The Cowl parts fit nicely to the kit parts without being fiddly. Though, I will admit, on this build, as opposed to last time, I did need to do some minor reshaping to match them up...but nothing major.
Amazing result, Gary! Everything on it is perfect.
Thank you, Spiros!
Excellent result, Gary @gwskat
Besides an overall great build, the star on the spinner looks perfectly.
Thanks, John!
Yes, the star and red markings give it some splash as opposed to the normal Sea Fury schemes.
It is a nice kit and you've gotten the most from it here.
Thanks, Tom!
I have this kit on the "to do" shelf ,I hope mine turns out half as good , this is terrific Gary , well done.
Thank you, Neil!
Good luck with your build. I think you will like the kit.
That’s a thing of beauty, Gary!
The spinner is a standout - but I’m also really impressed with the photography!
Also a massive well done on using all the upgrades so seamlessly - it’s never easy getting the resin to match up as perfectly as you have! Great stuff!
Thanks, Paul!
Also, thanks for liking the phots as well. I use a light box, three LED lamps and my "phone". Followed with some tweaking on paint.net. On my list of things to do, is to get better with using my camera but you can't argue with the phone pics...and so much quicker.
@gwskat Yes sir, you've really got it goin' on this Sea Fury Gary! ? That is a beautiful model and a joy to look at! I love the type and have thought of doing a Cuban bird to accompany my old Hobbycraft Sea Fury. Your Airfix build demonstrates the superiority of that kit! And yes, the photography is great too-well done on every count Gary. ?
Thanks, Gary
Nice clean build!
Thanks, Joe
Great work!
Thanks, Lis
Very nice build Gary. Paint work is excellent.
Thanks, David!
Amazing work Gary, and I'm not being biased due to the Canadian insignia.
Nice looking upgrades too.
I held that kit in my hands during a recent LHS visit...
Thanks, George. I've always liked the maple leaf roundels.
Really fine work on this Gary!
Thank you, Dale
Really nice, clean build! Looks great.
Thanks, Greg!
My oh my that's a sweet looking Sea Fury. Well done Gary.
Thanks, Tom. Like those Fundekals. @tom-bebout
