My year’s modelling work
I managed to keep one of my new year's resolution - no military models - and kicked off 2022 with Tamiya's 1/12 Yamaha XV 1600.
This was followed by the then new Suzuki Ecstar GSX-RR ‘20, as ridden by 2021 world champion Joan Muir:
A 24th scale car followed, namely the Mercedes AMG GT3.
More motorbikes now, all in 1/12 scale, first the Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon.
The Honda Fireblade CBR 1000 RR-R.
The Suzuki RGV (XR89)
Then another 1/24 car, the BMW M6 GT3.
A couple of 1/12 bikes. The Ducati Panigale Superbike racer.
And two Yamaha YZF-R1s.
The 1/20 scale Ferrari SF 70 F1 car.
And finally the Trickstar Kawasaki Ninja H2R, a conversion of the Tamiya 1/12 kit.
Not too bad a year despite the lockdowns here in China.
Merry Christmas everybody and happy modelling in 2023.
Very nice looking bunch, other George
Thanks, George @blackadder57.
Congratulations on a productive year, with all models oozing quality, my friend @chinesegeorge!
Hard to believe they are not 1:1.
Keep them coming!
Cheers, Spiros @fiveten, and thank you for your support throughout the year, it’s much appreciated.
Absolutely amazing work on all those bikes and cars, George @chinesegeorge
Every single one of them looks very realistic.
Thank you, John @johnb, I’m really looking forward to seeing your Suzuki here in Headlines.
Very impressive models, George!
Thanks, Joe @jroamer, here’s to 2023.
Incredible work George! 🍻 @chinesegeorge, And not a military model in sight! Well done sir.👍
Thank you, Gary @garybrantley, I think military models are still the most popular part of this great hobby.
Great work!
Cheers, Rob @robertandy, it wasn’t’ a bad year. How’s the beer, I haven’t seen any of your favourite tipples for a while?
Are you sure you don't run a motorcycle shop in China? Great portfolio, George @chinesegeorge
Thanks, Eric @eb801, the red sign above the two Yamahas does say George’s Motorcycles, it was originally going to be a kind of replica pop-up shop, but the space has since been taken up by my wife for storing vegetables, I’m on the look out for new premises.
Well done, George!
Thank you, John @j-healy, have a good Christmas.
They make their own kind of noise. Nice work. I agree with Eric.
Cheers, Robert @roofrat, you’re right, I wish we had sound here on iModeler.
Congrats on keeping your resolution and congrats on such an impressive output...WELL DONE!
Thank you very much, Gary @gwskat, let’s hope we can all enjoy 2023 just as well.
Very nice collection of models, George (@chinesegeorge). You will need to work really hard to top these in the new year. I am looking forward to your next group of models. Merry Christmas and a prolific new year.
Thanks, George @gblair, it’s been great sharing your work in the Motorcycles Group, merry Christmas and here’s to a happy new year.
Nice workmanship on these models!
Interesting subjects !
Thanks, Jay @ssgt, much appreciated.
Wow you been a busy boy! All beauties and super slick builds. Stay away from the bugs and keep em coming.
Thanks, Bill @billkoppos, glad you got your pictures uploaded in the end. It’s a matter of keeping safe and warm here, it’s minus 20C outside this morning.
Beautiful work, they all look great!
Many thanks, Bob @v1pro, much appreciated.
Fantastic!
Thanks, Charles @tiking, I think you’ve had a good year as well.
You are most welcome.
Great stuff! I am definitely interested in building a few super bikes in 2023. I've got about a dozen kits waiting on my shelf before I'm allowed to buy anything new. I'm hoping the list grows at least a little after Christmas.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Cheers, Brian@brithebuilder, you never know what Santa might bring you.
Some great-looking sets of wheels there!
Thanks, Greg @gkittinger, I always love seeing your 1/72 flying models, not so many wheels on view though!
Love those 1/12 bikes, @chinesegeorge, makes me think about building some. I have a Ninja and a couple of hard-tail Harleys that I build quite a few years ago.
Thank you, Robert @robgenev665, not too bad a year all things considered, although the lockdowns didn’t help. Here’s to 2023.
Wow George Williams (@chinesegeorge), what a year, amazing work. So inspiring to me, your builds are so so good. Love it, cant wait to see what you doing in 2023.
Thank you, Anthony, @anthonyricco, I really appreciate your generous comments, but I think iModeler.com makes them look better than they really are, your Norton blew me away by the way.
