Hi All
This vignette, titled, “War and a Piece” was inspired by the wedding scene in the movie, The Story of G.I. Joe,... but I just had to give it a twist.
Thanks for taking a look. As always, KEEP IT FUN!
Kit:
Italeri, 1/35, Ambulance Dodge WC-54
Scratch detailed the exposed wheel hubs.
Modified the cab with scratch built interior seats.
Did not include any of the back interior. (why add it if you can't see it?)
Added front and back tarps.
Ambulance emblems are the kit decals.
Paints:
AK Real Color Olive Drab
AK Real Color Olive Drab Faded
AK Real Color Flat White
AK Real ColorRed
Stars and Red Cross markings masked and painted using masks I created with my cricut cutter
Weathered with Artist Oil Washes and Dry brushing, Tamiya Pastels and MIG Pigments
The Happy Couple:
Sculpted with Aves Apoxie. My first anatomy sculpting...yep, need more practice but you get the idea.
Painted with Life Colors Flesh tones.
Diorama:
Ground work is Celuclay, with sand and pebbles from my diorama supply stash.
Wall is made from plaster paris. Painted with Woodland Scenics paints.
A bush branch used for the tree stump.
Excellent !
Thank you, Brian.
LOL….Excellent! Love it!
Thank you, Cricket. Glad you like it!
Your slightly-off-kilter humor once again prevails, @gwskat. I laughed when I saw it, then appreciated the talent that created it.
Thank you much, Tom.
Superbly built and awesomely conceived, Gary!
Congratulations!
Thanks, Spiros!
Really nice diorama, Gary @gwskat
Your first anatomy sculpting looks perfect. Should have been fun to create those pair of feet.
Thanks, John. I appreciate your comments. This was a fun build all around and, yes, the feet were a kick to sculpt...(sorry, pun intended) @johnb
Laughed out loud, Gary.
Your mantra playing out wonderfully well. Not to ignore the high skill level
In the production of this piece.
Brilliant!
Thanks, Paul. I really appreciate your comments.
I hope they used protection, like a platoon of M4s. The ambulance is very nice and the base completes it very well.
Thanks, Russell. Enjoyed your comments.
Brilliant.
Thanks, George!
"Don't come Knockin' if it's rockin'" comes to mind. Well done thought out scene. Love it. A moment when an opportunity presents itself. Another incredible project Gary. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, Chuck! Haha...I had the same thought a couple of times when building.
Love the humour and the modelling, excellent.
Thanks, Ian!
You definitely have some serious skills , and humor too. This looks great and I’m definitely going to be clicking on several of the various like buttons.
Thanks, Louis! Glad you like it.
