It's Duck season.
Merit 1/48 Grumman J2-5 Duck of the Air Photographic Unit Atlantic-3, 1941. Very nice build, going together better than expected. I painted the tail markings to avoid potential decal adhesion problems.
Looks great amongst my growing seaplane/floatplane collection. Thanks for looking.
Nice Duck, Paul!
A very nicely built model of an interesting aircraft.
Very cool looking build! Thanks for sharing.

Superb work on a great subject!
Quack. Quack. Beautiful result, Paul.
LOL, thank you. 🙂
Nice work, a great looking Grumman Duck!
A beautiful Duck, Paul @paulwoodyvanacker
The paint work looks really nice.
Thanks mate. 🙂
Very nice! Great weathering to break up the monochromatic scheme.
Good looking build Paul, @paulwoodyvanacker. Good looking markings that really make it pop and I always liked that red and white striped rudder. I am curious about the quality of the kit, I built the Classic Airframes kit and found it very challenging. How did the Merit kit go together? How was the quality of the parts?
Hi mate,
Thank you. I found the Merit kit to be very nice to build, with no problems at all. A great fit overall. The decals weren't the best. Alot of softner to make it conform to the wings. No silvering though. I think painting the tail markings is a must, especially with the kit decals. Probably wouldn't have come out so good.
But this is the kit to get if you want to do another.
Paul.
I thought it was wabbit season, nicely done!
LOL. Might be. 🙂 Thank you.
Duck Season! @paulwoodyvanacker, @roofrat
LOL
It was Elmer season after all.
Excellent result, Paul!
Thanks mate. 🙂
Nicely done Duck. I built the old Classic Airframes version many years ago, it looks like the Merit version might have been easier - I had a few issues with the CA kit, mainly the landing gear. I gave up and built it gear up!

Nice job mate. I've done ma CA kits and enjoyed them all, but never did the Duck.
I'd say Merit is easier.
I think I love my Hudson the most out of all the CA kits.
