This was a model I wanted to build for some time, and finally got the chance to buy it while I was at Amsterdam.
General fit was good, except in the wing/fuselage area, where there were gaps. The tailband was the worst of the decals, since [...]
Egon Mayer was a World War Two German fighter pilot born in 1917 in Konstanz, Germany.
He enlisted in the Luftwaffe in 1937, being sent to JG 2 "Richtofen" in 1939, just in time for the Battle of France, and flew until his death [...]
My first 1:48 Airfix kit, it was an absolute joy to build, except for the canopy, which had an awful fit.
Parts also fitted very tight in some areas, so they had to be sanded to get a good fit.
I used the kit decals to make Adolf [...]

This was one of Hasegawa´s many special boxings of the Fw 190, this time including a single option for a Japanese Fw 190.
The Fw 190 was sent to Japan from Germany thanks to a technological cooperation agreement between the two nations.
The "Graf Special" boxing of Hasegawa´s Fw 190A-5 comes with resin pieces to build Hermann Graf´s high altitude Fw 190A-5/U7, and it also comes with the regular pieces to built a normal Fw 190A-5.
The build article is available [...]
This is my latest finished model.
It was brushpainted using Revell acrylics, using Black Green 40 for the upper sides and Light Grey Satin 371 for the undersides (which was a pain to paint because satin doesn´t have a grip as strong as [...]
