I've been building model kits since I was a kid and just recently started shooting and editing video of the whole process. I started putting content on YouTube, where I am also @brithebuilder, to share a build I was doing for a friend and I've found that I really enjoy putting my work out there for people to see.

Star Wars Y-Wing Starfighter

Bandai's 1/72 scale Y-Wing fighter from the somewhat popular Star Wars IP. This really is an excellent kit, well designed with excellent detail, it goes together well and really doesn't need to be glued. I did choose to add both photoetch [...]

Flying Green Dragon

This project started with my Mom seeing the Red Dragon I did a while back. She liked it and mentioned that she'd like to have something similar but not so spikey. 🙂 So, being the good son, I purchased this model from 'Lord of the [...]

Batch Painting 84 Space Marines

I had no idea when I started this project how many miniature figures I was about to paint. As I started doing a bit of research on batch painting techniques most of the suggestions were centered around working in small batches to help stay [...]

Honda REPSOL

The idea for this build began as I followed several bike builds in the Motorcycles Group. Between @bikequeen, @chinesegeorge and @johnb I knew I needed to attempt a bike build. I did some looking at my local hobby shop and on Amazon and [...]

Mars Attacks!

This is my most recent commission piece for a local store. Seems like there will be more based on this one. Definitely a fun paint project. Mars Attacks is an entertaining movie. Not too deep or anything but definitely a classic at this [...]

Decima and the Incarnate Slaughter!a Warhammer 40K diorama

The Chaos Knights Army set was purchased a while back by a friend who wanted a diorama built for his display case. As the box sat on my shelf waiting... there were multiple concepts. I've built knights before, the box art didn't really [...]

Ford GT - Tamiya 1/24 with Photoetch and LEDs

I purchased this kit and the photoetch for it about a year ago. I had a bunch of other projects I was doing for friends that took precedence for quite a while. I was also stalling as I was a bit intimidated by the PE. Elements of the PE [...]

Painting the Archduke of Mousin

This project came about as an offshoot of the recent Red Dragon project. As I submitted images of the Dragon to a painting contest, there were several variants of this guy submitted. I really like the idea of a little mouse community where [...]

Ancient Red Dragon

I purchased the .STL file from Lord of the Print a while back and the printed and assembled model sat on top of my computer for quite a while. I wasn't looking forward to fixing all of the seams, there was a lot of sanding and filling to [...]

Sandtrooper riding Dewback

My love of Star Wars started when I was 7. My Dad took me to the theater in Ashland, WI shortly after Episode IV - A New Hope opened. As we sat there eating popcorn the giant star destroyer entered the scene and just kept getting bigger. I [...]
