Wife keeps telling me that I am too young to be building plastic planes, I should wait till retirement. Discovered the hobby during the great pandemic lockdown of 2020 and I am greatly enjoying it.
Quite the beginner, the objective is to learn the trade by building myself a collection of World War 2 fighters in 1/48 scale. That will keep me busy for a while.
This was my first kit in 1/32 scale and it was a though one. It was a long run project, I started to document it since September last year in order to have as much as possible a clearer picture of what I can do. Used also some goodies: [...]
In the never ending search for the elusive realistic and at the same time artistic weathering effects for model airplanes I subjected a FW 190 D from Tamiya to some refined techniques.
I went for the RLM 76 Lichtblau - RLM 82 Hellgruen - [...]
Up to now I built only WW2 fighters and after a while a tried something new for me. Quite an experience, seemed to me a lot of work, maybe because it was something new.
Basically I followed the tutorials of Nightshift from Youtube, [...]

This was my entry for a local group build with a „feline” theme. Started with an week end edition kit, added some photo-etched seat belts and Techmod decals for the plane of Alex Vraciu.
It started on the wrong foot since I used the [...]
Here comes my first build of the year. I've always found the Airfix kits to be comforting, as long as you accept with an open heart whatever lies ahead. I mean they are really enjoyable.
There was nothing special about this build, [...]
So, this is my collection started in 2020 with the great lockdown. I'll let you guess which one is the first model I completed. The collection grows and shrinks, some of the models I gifted over time. Some of the models here will be [...]
In the never ending quest for a simple yet fabulous weathering technique I tried some oils on this Eduard kit. It is the winter camo scheme of a Bf-109 G-2 stationed in Finland in 1943 and now my only regret is that I should have used a [...]
