Navy vet, California born and raised. Pretty much came back home after my wonderful adventure in the Navy. Now working in the Automotive industry in the IE in So Cal. Enjoying the So Cal lifestyle. Year around modeling, sports, photography and home gardening. My main subject is Naval aviation in 48th scale. But I don't limit myself as WWII subjects of all nations and aircraft that participated in that conflict I will build as well, some armor, a ship here and there and for a change of pace a car. As a kid that is where it all began with the old MPC Monkee Mobile in 1/25 scale. Thats me in a nutshell.
The iconic F-14 has been retired since 2006 from USN service. 13 years ago, doesn't feel that way. Iran still flies the few they have left. And here is the "new " Tamiya F-14A kit, and yet it has been out into our hot little [...]

It was the summer of 1978 the last time I built a tracked vehicle. At the time it was the new Italeri Sherman tank. Don't recall the version, but the type with the bathtub style upper hull. While perusing Ebay one day looking for a [...]
First Happy New Year everyone! Hope that life in general for everyone is safe and with good spirit first of all. The year 2018 was quite an eventful year, though it did go rather quickly it seems. The models here presented keep getting [...]
It started it out as a plan that was quite ambitious for as I am not a quick builder. Juggling different projects along with life itself cuts into my building time. But to complete 8 projects new and long term was a good year. With the [...]

Now on to the 2nd part of the review. Going back over the kit in a nutshell. This new tool Revell Beaufighter brings us a kit with a few more detail bits than what the Tamiya kit does not have an option for. 2 different V tails, the [...]
So here is the new tool Revell Beaufighter TF.X. I just recently built the Tamiya Beaufighter Mk VI for the RAF GB and it was a blast. The engineering in this is quite amazing from Tamiya, everything just clicked as it should. Still have [...]
