Hey all,
One of my first dio's, I finished a few years back, based around the Tamiya, 1/35, Panzer Kampfwagen IV Ausf.D. The crew, including the dog, are the Tamiya kit supplied figs and Verlinden figs, painted with a combination of Vallejo and oil paints. The vegetation is a mix of Woodland Scenic products, real twigs and various real grasses. The river was created with real pebbles and dirt as a base and then covered with a two part clear resin, sculpted many, many times to retain the ripples. One thing I would do different today is the road...looks a bit to flat and "hard". But hey, that's one great thing about modeling...learn and add it to the next one. I hope you like...keep on modeling!
Excellent job all around. Vegetation looks great and the addition of the Duck was a nice touch. Well done!
two ducks (One at take-off, the other over by the end of the broken bridge - gotta look for him).
Good eye Tom! but may i be a rivet counter and correct you by saying it's a "she" duck...LOL
Come on Gary, it could be juvenile male!
What an outstanding piece - the water, grass and foliage are as good as it gets - and then the figures and armour - spectacular. A real moment captured!
Very nicely done!
Very nice build. Great job on the figures.
This is a real awesome dio and model build. To Notch all the way around! Its also emotionally moving how you combine the best parts of life with the seriousness of war.
Yes...what they said - nicely done indeed.
Looks fantastic - and I also love the duck!
Great dio, Gary! I love your bridge work!
Very nice modeling Gary, this Pz Kpfw IV D is a classic and you placed it in a great setting, well done!
Very nice. All elements to equal result. Love the figures with the realistic faces.
Interesting story going on in the diorama. Great job!
Well done Gary, the addition of the ducks really makes for a story. I like it.
Thanks everyone. I'm glad you all enjoy it.
