This is 1/48 Airfix P-40B Tomahawk with TuAF markings circa 1942-44.
Cockpit modified with Eduard PE set and Ultracast seat.
Other modifications are:
– Ultracast wheels

– Master gunsight
I have used Gunze Sangyo acrylic paints.
Decals are from Tigerhead and Xtradecal sets.
Happy modelling

As usual, Tolga you have made a beautiful miniature. I particularly like the ‘B’ model P-40s with their early nose & scoops.
Beautifully built and painted.

It’s great to see one of these kitties without the shark mouth and in an unusual color scheme. This is a great piece of work, Tolga.

Tolga, wonderful work with in the cockpit, the details just pop on the IP. Good to see a P-40 in different markings as well. Well done and thanks for sharing an outstanding build of the Airfix P-40, very inspirational.

I like the desert scheme. And I like the underside. – What is that?, a light gray green?

Tomahawk Mk.IIB were the first lend lease equipment supplied to Turkey in March 1942.
These were taken from RAF Middle East stocks. These Tomahawk were in poor condition and wearing desert scheme. In Turkey they were re painted by RAF colors. Underside color is a kind of grey green which is RAF sky.

I have to apologize for being so late to the party. Tolga, the model is deserving of all of the accolades that comes with good inspirational work that is often seen in the photo line ups for model of the month. It is a shame that no Turkish P-40s are left to grace the gallery of a museum. I have know that the Turks got a few , along with Fw-190’s and Me-110s but, you never get the full story on how they where used.
Two thumbs up . Keep up the good work.

Thanks Stephen,
Yes, Turkey used Fw190Aa3 s , Spitfire MkV Mk.I s, P-40 Tomahawk and Kittyhawk Mk.1 at the same period, but never used Bf 110s.
In so much that Fw 190Aa3 and Spitfire were used in the same squadron as you can see at the attached picture
