Tigershark
Last time I posted a What If build here was 2021, since then I've been a little distracted by 'real world' builds, so thought... why not have some actual 'fun' with a quick project. Cracked-open this old Monogram kit about three weeks ago and other than the scratch-built 'Jaguar style' ECM bar on the fin and the loadout from an unsuspecting Rafale and F-16, it is completely OOB. Decals are from a long out of production Zotz sheet (also for F-16's), the teeth tho' are from an even older Microscale F-5E sheet.
Not too much else to say, nice relaxing & stress free build and I thoroughly enjoyed... a little sad when it came to an end TBH.
I remember seeing Yeager fly the real thing, way back in 1982. It was a real "performer."
This is a nice "whiffer."
Yeah I remember that too maybe like 1985 Tom. The General proclaimed the F-20 to be a world beater. The F-16C was coming on line about that time. I ran into Yeager in of all places the Tulsa airport in 1990. He did love flying the F-20. He told me he could do anything in it!
Could'a Would'a Should'a - the best fighter not ordered by anyone.
Very nice work on your 'Thai' fighter, Ian.
Great work on the missiles also.
"Thai Fighter..." - That's brilliant !
Very nice model… great workmanship
Excellent "what if" model, Ian!
Nice job, Ian (@ij001). I always thought the Tigershark was a really cool looking plane. The Monogram kit still builds into a great model. Well done.
One of the best looking planes ever, Ian @ij001
You created a very nice variant of it.
This "What If" Tiger Shark looks great, I love the paint scheme and that shark mouth!
You know - I've resisted the idea of doing a "what-if" for several decades, but I've seen a couple of F-20's now done in what-if schemes, and its got me thinking I might want to do one! This is another fantastic edition on that theme! Well done.
