I'm 70s era kid modeler who returned to the hobby after a long layoff thanks to school and varied attempts at making a career. My build approach is systematic but my subject builds vary on whim as I prefer to dabble in almost anything, but I usually build in aviation and SF.

Most of my reviews are at Modeling Madness.

1/72 Arma Hobbies FM-2 Wildcat

I bought one of these kits at a local hobby store because I was curious about the Arma Hobby's line of 1/72 kits. I heard a lot of the hype and was curious if they actually lived up to the hype. Also, I wanted a decent FM-2 that wouldn't [...]

INTRODUCTION The Plane The Folland Gnat was a reactionary byproduct of the sophisticated, bigger, faster, heavier and powerful mantra that dominated the aircraft industry in the beginning of the jet age. W.E.W. "Teddy" Petter, [...]

1/48 Fine Molds A5M2b Claude

Just some photos from my recent build of a Fine Molds A5M2b Claude. Very easy kit to build and no major issues. I really enjoyed building this one. I'll write a full article soon (too busy.) To get the slight gold/yellow tone of the [...]

1/12 Bandai Boba Fett

Boba Fett is one of the most popular Star Wars characters. At the time of the original trilogy no one knew anything about him, but what the fans mostly knew about him was that he was one bad mother (shut your mouth) of a bounty hunter [...]

1/48 Grand Phoenix FJ-4B (sort of ish) Fury

The FJ Fury series was originally a straight winged naval fighter designed and built by North American Aviation which was the basis for the F-86 Sabre. The later marks of the Fury added swept wings (based on the F-86 wing), more powerful [...]
