Just an other model builder. I have also retired as a shift trouble shooter (industrial electromech) for Michelin Tire, after 35 years. Now singing in a local rock band and providing some technical support.
This is the old Hasegawa kit I did a few years ago. Still looks sharp. I think I might try to set up another shoot with the new Canon.
This isn't a recent build and I've never posted the photos, due to the incorrect lower wing. The kit part was poorly cast, (odd for Roden), so I just built it anyway with the extra wing, for the rigging practice.
My a fore mentioned method [...]
I hardly ever make work in progress photos, but someone asked how I do my by-plane rigging. This should clear things up a bit. It's a self developed method which I originally came up with to do antenna wires. I always use 2 or 3 lb mono [...]
This is Italeri's Savoia-Marchetti 82 Marsupiale, presented in the early three banded scheme. A big hunk of plastic for sure. The kit has some nice features; weighted wheels, position able control surfaces, good internal detail, and three [...]
This is an old Italeri kit that I bought from a collector and managed to spruce up a bit. I re-scribed the main wing along with some other details around the engine nacelle and radiator, I re-positioned the tail control surfaces, added [...]
This was a tough build ! Very poor fit, especially with the upper wing and struts. But with some patience and good decals, it didn't turn out too bad.
Not one of my "builds", but I painted it, for one of my RC friends.(two days) We got some good pictures of the first flight. It flew like dream. He had floats for it as well but I don't know if he has tried them out yet. Four [...]
A real quick build on this Hobby Boss Mi-2, only one month. I added some pylon supports, extra rotor head details, along with some light weathering. The national insignia were difficult to apply over the large vents. I used all six of the [...]
I've been working on this Siga/Amodel/Mach 2 kit bash for some time, finally got it finished. Quite a bit of scratch building done as well. CanMilAir decals.
