AIRFIX 1/76th CROMWELL, SHERMAN TANK, JEEP & TRAILER

Just built these 2 for my son who wants to build a "D-Day" themed diorama (meaning i'll end up attempting it) Straight from the box, few parts (but some very tiny). The only thing i wish i had changed is on the Jeep. That is the [...]

Captured Hawk, P-36/ H75 in the Luftwaffe. Monogram 1/72.

This represents one of the dozen or so H 75's that were captured by Germans, which sold many to the Finns. I think that the Monogram kit is still the best representation of the P-36 in 1/72. Thanks go to Tom Bebout for supplying the kit.

1978 Monogram ME-262 Revisited

This was my 7th and last build for 2020. This kit's box and instruction sheet had a copyright date of 1978. The decals were in poor condition and not useable. Fortunately I had some decals from an Italeri kit. It was built out of the box [...]

Vintage Revell P-39 Airacobra 1/46 scale

As I had said in some of my previous posts, following my project to restore or even to build vintage models which bring me back good memories, now I went to this 1955 original Revell mold of P-39 Airacobra. My oldest brother Pedrinho (82 [...]

"Spirit of '44" Support Gunner of the 4th Inf. Div. Luxembourg, December 1944 Figure from Tamiya with resin head in 1/35th scale I made the snow with sodium bicarbonate and white glue with water. Please note that the sign has an [...]

Restoring an old Westland Lysander kit: Matchbox, 1973, 1:72.

THE CHALLENGE Lysander has always been a plane that I really liked, mainly because of the mission mystique associated with the French resistance and in the transport of agents, which it played. When a friend showed me an old Matchbox from [...]

Airfix 00, Scammel tank transporter, six wheeled tractor.

I didn't plan on building the tractor, having used the trailer for a previous build, modifying it to suit. My stash is actually down to three kits, I figure to deplete it altogether and build as I buy. I didn't want to leave this one [...]

Matchbox Boeing P-12E

Two builds of the classic Matchbox P-12 kit, first issued way back in 1972. The decals are from Starfighter Decals sheet 72-122, I couldn’t decide which markings I liked best so I decided to build two! “White 1” is the P-12E of the [...]

1960s Retro-futuristic Moonbase

I found a really cool lunchbox on ebay a few months ago and decided to take it a little further by making a little moonbase diorama inside of it. I had one of these as a kid and was really happy to have found it. The Landers, Rovers, Space [...]
