USS Iwo Jima LHD-7 & USS Ticonderoga CG-47

Good day to all ,

This is probably the third time i’m making a model of the Wasp class amphibious assault naval ship together with the combination of CG-47 where both ships sail together is an exercise combat training. The build was straightforward for both vessel no major issues regarding fitting and kit quality. The -7 is a Hobbyboss model while the USS Ticonderoga is from models.

In order to make the diorama a little bit more interesting I’ve added missile launch effect launching from the USS Ticonderoga and inserted LED lighting in the below rear decks of the LHD amphibious ship depicting it launching LCAC’s (Landing craft Air Cushion).

Overall its a satisfying project to build considering there are some new elements added to it and the owner was pleased , the only downside I didn’t have enough time to have a proper photo shoot with the diorama and only manage to take this few shots. Thanks for your time !
