I have been building models since I was six. I stopped for a period of time while in the USMC and then when I got married. I have been married for 62 years and have two grown daughters with their own families. I returned to modeling in 1968 and had as my mentor, Stan Staples. I am retired from the CHP and enjoy my time modeling and spending time with my family.
This is an out of the box Eduard kit of the F6F-3. This is a very nice kit with the exceptions of the decals. I had a problem with some of them wandering and warping all over the place. I managed to save the significant decals for this [...]
this is the Hobby Boss F8F-1 straight from the box. A great build and I think the Hobby Boss kit is a wonderful kit of their aircraft. I used the kit decals and they represent an A/C of VF-3 flown by Lt A.M.Granat in 1946.
I have not posted for some time and I just wanted to get back into the groove with this add to the “Midway Group Build”. Midway was such an important battle in WWII that I just had to add this as my homage to all those that lost their [...]

This is another addition to the “Water Wings” Group that I did a while back. Bear with me I will have to enter each photo individually to post them. Hope it works.
This is another restoration of a model for the gentleman that collects [...]
This was not a kit and I restored this within this last year but I am submitting it anyway to the Water Wings Group build.

This is a Cloudbreak Models, 1/200 resin kit of the Sanders Roe S.45 Princess. It is a finely moulded model with [...]
This model depicts the P-47 that was being flown by F/O Wambier when he was shot down by an FW-190 of JG-26. On December 30,1943.
He was returning to his home base after a bomber escort mission. Also downed on this flight was another P-47 [...]

This is the very old 1/72 Hasagawa kit. That was done in the late 70’s. It was attached to VP-19 and was stationed at NAS Moffet Field in Sunnyvale, CA. The kit shows it’s age but was still a very good kit for the time. I believe this [...]
